A downloadable game for Windows

The Bedroom

An experimental horror game first created in only 10 days, and further expanded over the course of five months of development.

Enter a short, immersive horror experience with branching paths leading up to 23 Endings (From A to W).

A young girl wakes up in her bedroom. The weak lamp at the headboard does little to illuminate the dark crevices of the room. She knows it is coming, and it will knock at the door again, trying to lure her out. It's not her mother, nor father, but it sounds and acts just like them. As the days go by, her room begins feeling less and less like a bedroom, and strange dreams begin haunting her every night.
Something is happening not only with her but also with the house itself.
Will you manage to escape, or fall prey to what lies behind the door?

FEATURES:

- 23 Endings to see. The more you find, the more the story gets pieced together.

- An average playtime of 40-70 minutes in a full-length playthrough (and over 5 hours of content for those after all the endings).

- 3 playable days, where even the smallest choices are capable of affecting your fate.

- A dense atmosphere with a soundtrack built mostly of ambient noises and deeply immersive sound design.

- Minor voice acting for some parts.

- Simple gameplay, consisting mostly of interacting with the environment and the bedroom door (or maybe there's more...).

- Moody visual effects that contribute to the atmosphere.

------

(This game is not suitable for those under the age of 16.
 It features content such as:
- Graphic depictions of violence and body horror (mostly through descriptions in cutscenes, but sometimes also visually).
- Potentially disturbing images.)

imma try this game out looks very good

I wish you a good experience! Thank you for showing interest in my game.

hi. i`m introduce south korea youtuber jaidetv. Can you translate this game into Korean and distribute it? I really want to do it, but it takes too long to translate it. I really want to try it. If possible, I will upload it a lot on YouTube.

Hello! First things first, I must say that while I do plan to add some localization to the game, I unfortunately have very little knowledge of Korean to make a decent translation for the game. Well, one that doesn't use machine translation.

You do have my permission to try it yourself though! Not only will I be thankful, but your name will be added to the credits of the game! :)

I would just recommend waiting for the next update, as it will be rather important. It should be coming out very soon though.

I came to the section where I pressed the last five switches, but I don't know the order. Can you tell me the answer?

Unfortunately the order in which you must press the buttons is random. If you're struggling with this section, I recommend looking into the ending guide, as it explains how to solve the puzzle.

This part is also receiving a rework in the upcoming update, so hopefully players will have an easier time getting through it.

Thank you very much for this awesome game! I really loved it and completely immersed myself in the game. I was so scared at first, but as I unlocked the different endings, the more I enjoyed the game. :D

I was a little sad when I opened the last ending, but "Extra day" made me very happy. Even if it was short.   ✌(‘ω’)✌

I can't wait for the next big update.(๑✧◡✧๑) (๑✧◡✧๑)

Have a nice day! And good job on your next project! 乁༼☯‿☯✿༽ㄏ

Thank you so much for playing my game!! It makes me so happy when people from different regions give a chance to my projects. The full version of the Extra Day is being worked on! I'll probably release one last update before that.

Hey, cool game. I've played some early version from gamejolt.

Here's the video:

Hello, is it possible to get portuguese language in this game?

I could! But currently, any localization plans will be saved for after the game's final update. It is in the works right now though!

This game might be one of the best RPGMaker game I've seen in a while. The graphics and the effects, the number of endings and the variety of scenarios to explore, the story and the ambiguity in it, it's all genuinely incredible!! I wish you the best in your future endeavors, and I'm looking forward to playing the game myself in future updates.

Ahh!! Thank you so much for the kind words XD!! I'm so happy my first game was received so well by the public! Can't wait to share more!

I only played a little bit of the game (4 endings so far) but it is an absolutely enjoyable experience, the visual filter are nicely used, the sound design is on point when using headphones, the tense atmosphere grabs you from the beginning and never let go.

The story unfolds slowly and nicely, I wish I could say more but as I mention I am yet to complete the game, I'll probably update this review after I play the rest in a couple of days but so far I adore what I have played.

Edit after getting all endings

-------------------------------

Golly was that a wild ride, every thing I say stands and it even improves, first I will start with the "bad" parts because there is not a lot of them; It was mostly performance issues that lagged the game and upped my CPU temps but the developer swiftly fixed them.

I had some issues transferring save files between versions but that is more my inability to replace files than a problem with the game itself, and lastly the final problem with the game is that there is not more of it!

Now for the good stuff, the game has incredible sound design that reminds me of Silent Hill 4: The Room, using headphones is really recommended and enhances the experience.

I cannot stress enough how good the story pieces together and all the endings have something to offer to unveil the plot of the game, it also includes some excellent Visual Novel parts and classic RPGmaker chase scenes that put the fear of god in you.

I could write pages of why you should play this game but I'll put it simply, is a good game with an interesting plot and fun gameplay, it is also FREE, there is no reason not to try it.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for playing my game! I'll have fun watching the gameplay.

Hi!

So, I may be stuck. In the game it says I have to click the buttons from low to high pitch. But, I can't seem to hear the difference in any of them except one. There are 5 buttons. Anyone knows the order?

(+2)

Hello! The button order is randomized and there are 4 variations. There is supposed to be a clear difference in the sound, though. I'll look into it. (If you could share a video of the sounds the buttons make, that'd help a lot!)

(1 edit) (+2)

Nevermind, I did some more testing and I discovered that one of the variations has repeating pitch sounds. Working on fixing it asap!

The bug has been fixed and I released the new patch! I don't think it will work if you use the save files from the old version though (Persistent save is okay to use).

OMG, thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️

The game looks awesome. Wishing you success.

(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked the game!

23 endings?! Oh my god, the shocking number of endings and the amount of work involved

(+1)

Yeah, it's very big for my first game released, but I hope people will like it! I had fun making it.
